Four Entertainment Group turns raffles into visit-based customer outreach

A bar group's paper raffle tickets generated occasional addresses but did not build a dependable picture of returning guests across its venues. Four Entertainment Group needed capture and segmentation that scaled with footfall.

Walk-Through Rate™

Email database grown to 63,000+ contacts and profiles. 13,000+ customers matched to verified return visits after automated messages, a 20% Walk-Through Rate™.

The challenge

4EG grew in locations and guest volume. Its marketing to those guests did not grow with it:

The first gap was raffle-ticket email collection. 4EG built its list with written raffle tickets tied to prizes. It was manual and time consuming.

A second challenge was a list that missed most guests. The raffle list covered only a small share of customers and said little about who they were.

The remaining issue was no way to tell loyal from lost. 4EG needed to market to new and returning guests differently across many venues.

The solution

Create the data foundation: a branded portal at every venue. 4EG ran Adentro's Guest WiFi captive portal, customized for each location. Email collection rose right away, with no raffle tickets.

Know: profiles with visits and demographics. Each email became a Customer Data profile. It held visit history plus name, age, gender and location from public information tied to the email. Managers and marketing used it to understand who their guests were.

Identify the right guests: lost versus loyal. Adentro tracked each guest's visit patterns and flagged who was lost and who was loyal. Marketing Director Ryan Gac said this let 4EG "treat them appropriately in our marketing."

Activate and measure: visit-triggered email. 4EG built automated Email Marketing messages triggered by visit history. They invited guests back and rewarded repeat visitors. Walk-Through Rate™ then matched 13,000+ returning customers to verified visits.

Why the combination mattered

Venue-specific Guest WiFi portals collected contacts; Customer Data added visit histories; Audience Segmentation separated lost and loyal guests; Email Marketing sent triggered offers; Walk-Through Rate™ matched recipients to observed return visits. This is a measured return-visit association, not a randomized uplift result.

The results

  • 63,000+ contacts and customer profiles collected
  • 13,000+ customers returned after automated messages, matched to verified visits
  • 20% Walk-Through Rate™
  • 15 locations across two metro areas
